Pak Oman Microfinance Bank reaching out to needy
ISLAMABAD—Pak Oman Microfinance Bank is not only contributing
significantly in reducing poverty but also focusing on a triple bottom
line strategy - achieving outreach. Handing over approved loan cheques
to deserving persons in a ceremony held at Gwadar, President and Chief
Executive of the Bank, Ozair A. Hanafi said the Bank is extending
support with the objective of reaching out the needy and alleviating
poverty in remote areas of the country. He said the bank works in rural
and urban areas as a trusted partner by fostering trust, confidence and
building long lasting relationships with customers. The CEO announced to
introduce new products to suit the needs of the borrowers in months to
come. He said Pak-Oman Microfinance Bank in a short time has embarked on
an ambitious outreach programme designed specifically to meet the
challenging needs of rural population and to work towards poverty
alleviation in Pakistan. The core focus of the bank is to provide small
loans with a term ranging from 3-12 months in the following segments:
micro business loans, micro agro loans, livestock loans and micro asset
