Visas issued to 25 foreign observers

ISLAMABAD—The Foreign Office spokesman, Muhammad Sadiq three dozen applications had been received from different countries interested in coming to Pakistan as foreign observers to witness the elections process and out of these visas have been issued to 25 observers.
The government is working on the visa requests of observers and hopefully the picture in this regard will become further clear next week, the spokesman said at the weekly press briefing here on Wednesday. Pakistan’s endorsement to the Israel’s resolution at United Nations does not indicate in any way that Pakistan has changed its policy regarding Israel. He explained that the resolution was in purely technical in nature and had only to do with research in agriculture, therefore, it was not opposed by any country.
