Army fully capable of defeating all threats: Kayani

RAWALPINDI—The Chief of Army Staff General Asfhaq Parvez Kayani Wednesday said that Pakistan Army was well equipped, highly motivated and fully capable to defeat all dimensions of conventional and unconventional threats posed to the country’s security and integrity.
Speaking to officers at Kharian Garrison he said that it was harmonization of socio-political, administrative and military strategies that would usher an environment of peace and stability in the long term. Ultimately, it is the will of the people and their support that is decisive. Talking to the officers, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said that the nation held them in high esteem. This national support was crucial to synergize national effort.
The Chief of Army Staff exhorted the troops to devote themselves fully towards enhancing their professional capabilities and maintain the highest state of preparedness.
Urging the officers to maintain their focus on professional pursuits, the Chief of Army Staff emphasized that excellence in training was the key to enhancing operational preparedness.
