Passed out rescue 1122 staff to get emergency training today

RAWALPINDI—The Rescuer officials for Murree and Rawalpindi of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) after successful completion of three months physical training in the Emergency Services Academy, Lahore has started one month emergency medical training in the teaching Hospitals of Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
Out of 225 passed out (on 08 December 07) rescuers, 131 rescuers are for Murree and 94 rescuers are for Rawalpindi city. They would go through hands on training of Emergency Management in three shifts. The Rescuers have already been trained to provide rescue emergency medical treatment and fire fighting in Academy, Lahore and now moved to the Emergency Departments of teaching hospitals for completion of training. Rescuers have been trained in life saving skills like revival of heartbeat through Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, management of spinal injury with spine boards and Philadelphia Collars, rescue of victims trapped under collapsed structure and management of road traffic accidents, hazardous material incidents, fires and disasters. Rigorous physical training has been imparted to rescuers to ensure physical fitness and discipline. Dr. Tanveer Akhtar, District Emergency Officer, Rescue 1122, Rawalpindi along with his staff congratulated and welcomed the passed out rescue officials for becoming part of a Emergency Service which is saving precious human lives through efficient and effective response, rescue, medical treatment and safe transportation.
