Chitral name 28 probables for U-19 camp

PESHAWAR—District Dir Upper Cricket Association Tuesday announced the
names of the 28 members’ short-listed probables after conducting two-day
trials at Dir Cricket Stadium.
Talking to reporters Syed Mukhtiar Hussain, Secretary District Dir Upper
Cricket Association told that the trials were held under the supervision
of first class crickets Wajid Ali and Javedullah with other members
comprising Muhammad Zada, Nasimullah, Ghawar Shah, Roi Shakir, Qazi
Ikram-ul-Haq.
The trials, he said, were held in cordial atmosphere and despite clod
waves due to snow fall in nearby hill tops. He said, a camp would be
setup in a day or two for which all the 28 selected players would be
called. He said during the camp the documents of all the selected
players would be thoroughly monitored to verify their age group and
among them names of final 20 members would be sent to PCB for the
forthcoming Under-19 Cricket Championship.
He said, most probably the snow will start in the end of December then
the camp would be shifted to Peshawar to prepare good team for the
event. He said, total 70 players from 24 clubs affiliated with the
association turned up besides six players were also selected in the camp
from District Chitral. The Chitral players are already accommodated in
Dir because of the closer of Loweri Pass, Mukhtiar added.
He said, during the trials, the office-bearers of all the affiliated
clubs of District Dir and Chitral were also present and witnessed the
trials. The players were short-listed purely on merit.The names of the
selected players are: District Dir Upper: Usman Ghani, Jehangir Khan,
Sajid, Farman, Liaqat Shah, Nimayat Shah, Jamil Ahmad, Younis khan,
Waseem Abbas, Sanaullah, Imran Khan, Shakirullah, Izhar, Said Rahim,
Sarifullah, Suleman, Irfan Aziz, Imranullah, Najeeb, Ghaniur Rehman,
Ihsanullah, Ismail, District Chitral: Rizwanullah, Sher Nawab, Afzal
Hussain, Ali Abbas, Fahimullah, Sadam. |
