‘Employees should play vital role for development of PTV’

ISLAMABAD—Chairman PTV and federal information secretary Anwar Mehmood has said that PTV is national asset and we have to protect it. Its financial loss has reduced up to three hundred million rupees.
While addressing a oath taking ceremony of PTV employees union, he said that rupees fifty million have been allocated for the welfare of employees. He said that it is not easy to compare the PTV with private TV channels and expressed the hope that PTV would get the award of best performance for the transmission of upcoming general polls.
He lauded the services of newly appointed Managing Director Yousaf Beg Mirza for the development of corporation and expressed the hope that present financial loss would come to an end at the end of current fiscal year from 460 million to 160 million.—Online
