IT to put country on road to progress: Dr.Amjad

ISLAMABAD—The caretaker Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination, Dr.Muhammad Amjad said on Monday that the promotion of Information Technology would put the country on the road to progress and help improve skills of the youth.
Speaking to the participants of a certificate-distribution ceremony held here at a private academy he said that the country had witnessed an unprecedented boost in Information Technology sector during the last several years due to better government policies and availability of the opportunities.
He said that Government was giving top priority to promotion of science and technology which would help the young generation to face the challenges coming ahead.
He lauded the role of private educational institutions in promoting education in the country.
Dr.Amjad urged the students to fully concentrate on getting modern studies to get name in comity of the nations and come up to the expectation of their parents.
According to a report, the Minister said that Information Technology (IT) industry in Pakistan has strengthened with seven percent growth rate and eight hundred percent increase in the stock market.
