Govt should take measures to eliminate corruption. Nasir

ISLAMABAD—President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce &Industry Nasir Khan said, that government should take positive steps to control the corruption by increasing the salaries to government-staff and given their children , the better educational, health, medical facilities with the better standard of living.
Addressing a seminar he said that corruption and inefficiency, however, can not be allowed to prosper further otherwise the prosperity of the nation will be at stack.
To start a renaissance against corruption we must establish the rule of law first, build strong institutional set-up, promote and strengthen the role of existing institutions.
Create self-confidence among the masses by removing their fear and uncertainty, and insecurity. Government should implement rules and regulations showing no mercy to the culprits whether big or small. And on top of the list, accelerate grass-root level mass education ring in a new revolution for the human sector development.
President ICCI Nasir Khan showed his great concern on the international transparency report that Pakistan is seventh corrupt country in the world. By the issuance of such reports the foreign investors are reluctant to invest in Pakistan.
The President ICCI also said that the government should take positive steps to control the unemployment and to extend educational facilities to every citizen of the country.
He also mentioned about the Previous National Assembly’s standing committee on Water and Power disclosed that officers of WAPDA and electric supply companies were causing loss of Rs. 50 billion and to hide their wrong-doings, they were putting burden on national exchequer by showing linelosses of the same amount annually.
