All markets of Pindi to be cleaned, says Ikhlas

RAWALPINDI—City District Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas has said that cleanliness campaign would be launched in all the markets of the city after cleanliness of Commercial Market.
Addressing the ceremony to start cleanliness campaign in Commercial market, he said, all out efforts will be utilized to make Commercial market as model market of the city. The cleanliness will be carried out with collaboration City District Government Rawalpindi. He said public toilets block would be constructed on land owned by Government, adding that, ten containers will be placed on different Points of market.
He urged shopkeepers of the market to throw their garbage in the containers so that it could be transferred to filth depot easily. He lauded the services of Anjuman-e-Tajraan.
Executive District Officer (EDO) Municipal Services in his address said that it is the responsibility of administration of shopping centers to remove the garbage and other construction material on roads after complete construction of Plazas otherwise legal action would be taken against owners of the plazas.
President Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajraan Shahid Ghafoor Piracha and President Anjuman-e-Tajraan Commercial Center Rizwan Sanni also addressed on the occasion. The citizens also demanded re-carpeting of the roads of the Commercial Center and the dilapidated condition of the roads damaging their expensive vehicles and they prefer to park their vehicles faraway from the shops.
