BB’s nomination papers challenged

ISLAMABAD—The rival candidates have challenged the nomination papers of former Prime Minister and PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto in the Election Tribunal for contesting election fromNA-204 and NA-207, Larkana.
Pakistan Muslim League (Q) candidate for NA-204 Saifullah Abroand candidate for NA-207 Larkana Babu Sarwar Siyal have filed application against Benazir’s nomination papers, private TV newschannel (Geo) reported.
The nomination papers of Benazir Bhutto in the ElectionTribunal for contesting election at NA-204 and NA-207 from Larkana should be rejected as three NAB references were filed against her and she had been absconder in these cases, it was argued.
PPP Punjab president Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said party chairperson Benazir Bhutto will kick off formally election campaign from Liaqat Bagh Rawalpindi on December, 27 adding PPP will participate in the elections under protest. He said this while addressing a press conference here in Multan press club Friday. He cautioned if the demands presented under charter of demand were not accepted then possibility of election boycott could not be ruled out.—Agencies
