Nawaz urged to honour words

ISLAMABAD—Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Saeed Awadh Assiri on
Thursday met with Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and reminded him of
his promise with Saudi King Shah Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz before leaving
for Pakistan
Well-placed Sources told Online that host of issues were discussed
during one-one meeting of Nawaz Sharif with Ambassador of Saudi Arabia
Ali Saeed Awadh Assiri at his residence on Thursday. Ambassador of Saudi
Arabia Ali Saeed Awadh Assiri recalled the promise that he (Nawaz) made
with Saudi King Shah Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz before leaving for
Pakistan.
He said that Nawaz will not create hurdles for Musharraf Government and
will continue his political activities in a positive manner, sources
told. Nawaz Sharif made it clear to the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Ali
Saeed Awadh Assiri that he will continue his struggle for a democratic
set up in the country.
Nawaz Sharif said that he would continue his struggle for restoration of
democracy, independent Judiciary and Free Media. With strong backing of
his supporters, Nawaz said that he wants a stable and strong Pakistan.
He further told Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Ali Saeed Awadh Assiri that
boycott option is still open but shall be made from the platform of APDM.
After a formal reply from the Government regarding Charter of Demand,
APDM will clear-cut decide about the upcoming polls stressing if it is
not approved then boycott option is open, Nawaz held.
PML-N Chairman, Raja Zafarul Haq has said that after the reentry of Mian
Nawaz Sharif in the domestic politics, PML-N leadership has reaffirmed
its resolve for continuing struggle till the restoration of constitution
and reinstatement of purged independent-minded judges on Thursday.
While talking to media men outside the judges’ colony, PML-N leader
expressed hope that Mss Bhutto and Maulana Fazl Rehman will join hands
with Mian Nawaz Sharif. “Opposition Alliances have developed consensus
over the Charter of Demands”, he revealed.
He emphasized that polls boycott will be the most appropriate option,
incase, government did not comply with ‘Charter of Demands’. On this
occasion, PML-N Secretary General Iqbal Zafar Jhagra contended that all
opposition parties have agreed for the end of emergency and restoration
of the independence of judiciary.
