Minister stresses for community oriented medical education

RAWALPINDI—Punjab Care Taker Minister for Health Aslam Humayun stressed for community oriented medical education so that the young doctors could be motivated and trained according to the expectations and of patients.
He stated this while presiding a meeting of the Academic Council of Rawalpindi Medical College on his visit of Rawalpindi on Thursday.
The Principal RMC Professor Musdaq Khan, members of Academic Council, Medical Superintendent Holy Family Hospital Dr. Syed Abid Hussain Shah, M.S Rawalpindi General Hospital Dr. Habib Ahmed Khan, M.S District Headquarter Hospital Dr. Khalid Iqbal Malik, District Officer Health Muhammd Rafiq present on the occasion.
Provincial Care Taker Health Minister invited suggestions and proposals for up grading the standard of health facilities and ensured that every possible steps would be adopted to provide more conducive environment in the health institutions and hospitals.
He asked doctors to keeping liaison with and intimate about their requirements and shortfalls.
The Minister said that government has taken serious note of illegal medical practice and un-healthy activities of quakes and such persons would be delt according to the law. Professor Musadiq Khan briefed the Minister about the performance of teaching hospitals and academic activities of the college.
Later, the Care Taker Health Minister visited Holy Family Hospital, he went round the Surgical, Physiotherapy wards, burn center and other departments and inquired about the health of the patients.
On this occasion M.S. HFH Dr. Syed Abid Hussain Shan and Director Emergencies Dr. Shafiq Raja informed the Minister about the services being rendered to the patients. Provincial Minister lauded the services of doctors as well as paramedical and nursing staff.
