10 gangs busted; 13 cars, cash recovered,
says SSP

ISLAMABAD—Islamabad Capital Territory Police have busted ten gangs of
criminals and recovered 13 cars, illegal weapons and household items in
different operations.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Kaleem Imam told mediamen
on Thursday that 24 gang members were arrested by CIA staff of Islamabad
police for their alleged involvement in car jacking, murder and several
robbery incidents.
The SSP told that thirteen cars, more than one kilogram gold, foreign
currency, Rs. 100,0000 and household items were recovered from them. He
said Police have the responsibility to redress the complaints of public
and provide relief to them through better and efficient functioning. He
said it is the duty of the personnel to ensure safety of life and
property to the citizens. He said Islamabad Police would be equipped
with latest technology and manpower would be increased for better
performance. The working hours for police officials would be fixed while
one-weekly holiday would be given to every policeman working in the
police stations, he added.
Later, the SSP announced cash prizes and certificates for police
officials who took part in different operations and handed over the
valuables to their actual owners. The accused have been identified as:

Hussian s/o Ali Mohsin, Sofi Sarwar s/o Muhammad Ali resident of Para
Chinar, Babu Gulzar s/o Yaqub, Samreen d/o Ali Muhammadresidents of
Sakardu, Qamar Zaman s/o Muhammad Abbass Niaz , Nawaz Maseeh s/o Jamal
