BEIJING—China supported its
enterprises to cooperate with the United States counterparts in the
fields of engines and assemblies on-board airplanes based on mutual
benefit, said Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan on Thursday.
Zeng welcomed the United Technologies Corporation (UTC) to participate
in China’s aviation development during a meeting with George David,
chairman and chief executive officer of the UTC which provides
high-technology products and supports services to customers in the
aerospace.

the research and production of the regional airplanes had developed

increase the efficiency of coal utilization in electricity generation.
He hoped the UTC and the Chinese enterprises would cooperate in the
areas including the high efficiency cleaning combustion technology to
push forward the energy sustainable development of China and the world.

held a conference here on Wednesday to celebrate the 28th anniversary of
the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the United
States.

Political Consultative Conference, hailed in his speech the remarkable
achievements scored in the China-U.S. relations over the past 28 years.
The two nations have held clearer strategic position of each other, with

United States during his administration had significant influence over
the two countries, Asia and the world at large. He reiterated that there
is only one China in the world and Taiwan is an integral part of China.
He hopes that the U.S. government both now and in the future will
continue to adhere to the policy.
Cater said he would continue his effort to promote mutual understanding
between the two peoples and make contributions to the development of
bilateral ties. Vice president of the CPAFFC Li Xiaolin, U.S. Ambassador
to China Clark Randt, together with some 100 scholars, officials and
