Nine POs among 60 criminals nabbed

PESHAWAR—City police arrested nine proclaimed offenders and 60 criminals during ongoing crackdown against outlaws in provincial capital, police said Wednesday. SSP Operation, Muhammad Tahir Khan after receiving information about presence of outlaws near Yaktooth, Paharipura and Budabar areas, has constituted a raiding party to bring these criminals under the clutches of law. Promptly acting on the directives, the police raided on the suspected places and arrested nine proclaimed offenders including Nasir, Jamal, Mukhtair, Noor Rehman, Qamary and Baz Khan besides nabbing 60 fugitives wanted to police in various cases of heinous nature crimes. Police claimed of recovering 20 pistols, two rifles, one Kalashnikov, 290 rounds and 13 kilogram charas from possession of outlaws.—Online
