Need for representing real picture of Islam underlined
ISLAMABAD—Participants here at a function on Monday underlined the need
for promotion of real picture of Islam which is being negatively
propagated in certain parts of the globe.
This was stated by Dr Anwar Hussain Siddiqui, President, International
Islamic University (IIU). He was addressing the concluding ceremony of
24th one month International Human Resource Development Programme
organized by IIU.
He said that Dawah (Islamic Call) is a noble task which should be
carried out by every Muslim to spread the message of peace which is a
prominent distinction of Islam itself. “The Muslim preaches are faced
with a sinister propaganda campaign all over the world which should be
tackled with wisdom and farsightedness,” he added. He further said that
Muslims should be aware of the internationalobligations as well as their
responsibilities.
Dr Siddiqui was of the view that Dawah Academy is for presenting Islam
in an acceptable way so that even non-Muslims may be able to understand
and accept enlightened teachings of Islam. Director Dawah Academy, Prof
Abdul Jabbar Shakir and Course Coordinator, Fareed Brohi also spoke on
the occasion.
Participants from 15 American, African and Asian countries were given
certificates, says a press release.—APP |
