Corridor-II to be completed this month

KARACHI—A number of big projects including Sharea Faisal to Surjani Town Corridor-II will be completed by the end of current month while Orangi and Clifton people will start receiving water supply through newly laid lines and construction of flyover at Banaras Chowk will also kick off during the month. This was stated by Nazim Karachi Mustafa Kamal in an informal chat with newsmen at his office on Monday. He informed that both tracks of Road-12000 from Bhitai Colony to Landhi, Quaidabad will be opened after their completion this month, while both carriageways of Road-5000 from Sakhi Hasan Chowrangi to Surjani Town will also be completed. Mustafa Kamal told newsmen that one track of Super highway to Surjani Chowk and 3 km leftover portion of Shahrah Orangi will be completed during December. He said construction work of major roads will be completed by the month’s end while Shahrah Qadafi will be linked to Northern bypass and work on Banaras Chowk flyover will start in a few days.—Agencies
