5932 projects under KPP not completed

ISLAMABAD—Despite releasing of funds to former Parliamentarians under Khushhal Pakistan Programme (KPP), upto 5932 project schemes could not be completed in the country.
According to a information collected by this agency envisaging that Rs. 13317.30 were given to members Parliament for the completion of some 25598 different development schemes under KPP in their respective constitutes. Upto 5932 schemes out of 25598 could not be completed despite releasing of funds to Ex-Parliamentarian and completing the tenure of five years by the Government.
Rs. 5116 million were given to Former Parliamentarians for 8154 roads projects, Rs. 5099 for 11871 electricity schemes, Rs. 950 million for 551 Gas projects, Rs. 23 million for 43 Projects of telephone schemes Rs. 536 million for 756 education schemes, Rs. 264 million for 266 health schemes, Rs. 755 million for 2914 water supply schemes, 480 million for 848 drainage schemes and Rs. 92 million for others 145 projects. The Projects completed in the tenure of Government under KPP were 1895 schemes of roads, 1994 of electricity, 136 of Gas, 211 of education, 130 of health, 1223 of water supply, 211 of drainage and 132 others projects.
