2050 Polling
Stations established in Pindi
RAWALPINDI—Overall 2050 poling stations have been established for seven
seats of the National Assemblies and 14 Provincial Assembly seats in the
District to hold elections in a smooth and organised manner.
The constituency of each National Assembly seat would have 300 polling
stations while 4 to 6 Polling Booths would be setup in each polling
station.
The places and educational institutions which used for the elections
purpose in the pervious local bodies and National Assembly Elections
have been selected while nearly 22,000 Polling Staff would be appointed
aimed to conduct free, fair and transparent elections. The services of
staff of Education Department, Local Bodies and judiciary would be
utilized to conduct elections and the Election Commission of Pakistan in
this regard has sought the lists of the staff. The employees would get
special bonus.
The two-day training would also be provided to the staff aiming to stop
the casting of fake votes while all Presiding Officers would also get
the powers of Magistrate Grade 1st who would award punishment and fine
to elements creating disturbance in polling process.—Online
