Turkish President due today

ISLAMABAD—Turkish president Abdullah Gul is arriving for a two day state visit to Pakistan today (Sunday) on the invitation of President Pervez Musharraf.
During his stay he would discuss regional, international and bilateral affairs with President Pervez Musharraf. President Musharraf would also host a dinner in the honour of the Turkish president. This is the maiden visit of the Turkish President after assuming his office. He is being accompanied by a high level delegation
According to diplomatic sources, the visit of the Turkish president would pave way for further strengthen and consolidation of bilateral ties in the fields of defence, trade, economy, investment, education, health and other social sectors. The two presidents would also hold extensive talks ion situation in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan.—Online
