Shahbaz’s nomination papers rejected

LAHORE—Nomination papers of Mian Shahbaz Sharif have been rejected by district returning officer, Ishtar Abbas for national assembly seat in NA-119 and provincial assembly seats in PP-141 and 142.on the charges of his involvement in Sabza Zar police encounter case..
Tariq Banday who is a PML-Q ticket holder from NA-119 and a rival of Mian Shahbaz Sharif had filed objections on the nomination papers of Mian Shahbaz Sharif that later was involved in Supreme court attack case, Sabza Zar police encounter case and was defaulter in repayment of 12 million loan obtained in the name of Ittefaq Foundry.
District returning officer dismissed the objections in connection with Supreme Court attack case and loan default case but rejected the nomination papers on the basis of Sabza Zar police encounter case. Nomination papers of Hamza Shahbaz who is son of Shahbaz Sharif and a covering candidate in all these three constituencies have already been accepted. Nomination papers of Tariq Banday, a PML-Q candidate from NA-119 have been accepted. The scrutiny of nomination papers filed for 13 seats of national assembly and 25 seats of provincial assemblies in Lahore continued on 5th consecutive day.
