Troops capture Fazlullah’s brother

ISLAMABAD—Security Forces along the Pak-Afghan border have arrested five foreign terrorists while entering Pakistan from Afghanistan through Qamaruddin Tehsil of Zhob district. According to sources, while riding on the motorcycles, terrorists were trying to enter Pakistan in the cover of darkness. Security forces nabbed them when they were trying to enter into Zhob area at Chaman Post.
The FC personnel also recovered three hand grenades, one Kalashnikov, 120 rounds, four magazines, one laptop and four motorcycles from the terrorists. Director General Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) Major Gen. Waheed Arshad on Thursday said that the security forces have arrested several militants including brother of Maulana Fazl Ullah.
While talking to media, he said that security forces have taken the charge of several areas in Swat including Mingora, Khosa Bandi and Imam Ddheri and heading towards Matta and Khazah Khela. He added that the area of top Shangla have been vacated from militants and the situation is under control after remote control bomb blast in North Waziristan.
He claimed that the security forces have detained Maulana Fazal Ahmed along with other militants at check post located between Chakdara and Mingora. The interrogators are investigation with them, he maintained.
The Frontier Constabulary personnel have apprehended Fazal Ahad brother of known militant Maulana Fazlullah at Ghaligai check post besides 19 other suspects at Fizaghat check post. According to a press release of the Media Information Centre Mingora,the brother of Maulana Fazlullah was arrested with the active support of the local people. The press release added that in the ongoing Operation by Security Forces in Swat, the forces have further strengthened their positions and are now in complete control of the area with strength. All access and exit routes to upper Swat are in control of the security forces.
