5 soldiers killed in Waziristan

MIRANSHAH—At least five security personnel were dead and four injured in bomb blast in North Waziristan here on Thursday.
The Director General ISPR Major General Waheed Arshad told that a bomb blasted some thirty kilometer from Miramshah, headquarter of North Waziristan which planted along with the road when security convey was passing through this way as a result five security personnel were dead and five injured, however, he did not tell the further details of this blast.
On the other hand, operation of security forces against militants in Swat is on going and security forces fired with mortar guns on the hideouts of militants in the areas controlled by security forces.
A foreign new agency quoting police officer Muhabullah told that shell fired by security forces landed in a house of village Allah abad as a result eleven members of family died and nine were injured. Nine deceased out of eleven were identified as Muhammad Khan, Ameena, Ibrahim, Irfan, Khalid, Sajid, Naik Zada and Power Khan.
According to spokesman of ISPR the government has established its writ at Alpori, headquarter of District Shangla and civil administration was restored and operation against militants is going on.—Agencies
