Pak Army sets
up field hospital in Bangladesh
Bhandaria—Pakistan Army Field Hospital which proceeded to Barisal
Bangladesh for relief operation have treated over 5000 victims since
their arrival in cyclone hit area of district Pirozpur south of Dhaka.
The Field Hospital, which comprises of 11 Specialists, 5 Lady Doctors, 6
General Duty Doctors and 37 Paramedics started functioning in Bhandaria,
the designated district where cyclone Sidr played havoc. Mobile medical
Units have been formed out of these doctors and paramedics who are
treating the patients at their door steps. On Wednesday Mobile Unit 1
which is working in Dawa treated 940 patients while Mobile Unit2 treated
980 victims of cyclone in Gorikot.—Agencies
