Business community needs to benefit from Govt policies: PM

ISLAMABAD—Caretaker Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro Thursday said the business community needs to come forward and benefit from the business-friendly policies of the government.
He was talking to Chairman Dawood Group of Industries Hussain Dawood and Dr. Zahid who met him separately at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
The Prime Minister said continuity of leadership and the policies will augur well for economic activity. He said since Pakistan has become a destination of choice for local and foreign investors, the government is focusing on upgrading the infrastructure facilities to facilitate the business ventures.
The Prime Minister said the transition to democratic process with the oath of Pervez Musharraf as a civilian
President would further build the confidence of business community in the economic policies of the government.
He said the caretaker government is making all out efforts to ensure safety and security of the citizens before and during the general elections.
He said while focusing on creating conduciveconditions for the elections, the caretaker government would also ensure that the business activities continueto move forward in the benefit of the country. Hussain Dawood appreciated the government’s economic policies and extending facilities to the business community. He said as a result of expansion of business job opportunities are being created impacting common man’s life in a positive manner.
