Efforts underway to send skilled manpower abroad

ISLAMABAD—Caretaker Minister for Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis, Nisar Ghumman Thursday said that efforts are underway to send skilled manpower abroad for employment.
Talking to media persons after an Oath taking ceremony ofOverseas Pakistanis Students Council 2007-08 here at OPF Girls College, the Minister said the government has decided toprovide technical education to the younger generation to enable them to meet the requirements of the international market.
“Only skilled workers having proper certificates can go abroadfor employment purpose”, he said adding that the Overseas Pakistanis can play a vital role in promoting the soft image of the countryabroad.
In this regard, Nisar Ghumman said that the Ministry has decided to strengthen the existing capacity of vocational institutions countrywide. Earlier, Caretaker Minister highlighted the role of women in society and urged the students to get education as their active participation is necessary for the development of the country. He said the government is making all possible measures to provide quality education and set up more OPF educational institutesin the country.
