Tanisha replaces Aish in ‘Sarkar Raj’

BOMBAY—Tanisha has more members of her family in films than any other star son or daughter. Her grand mom, mom, dad, and aunt all were acclaimed actors. Besides, her sister Kajol, cousin Rani Mukherjee and brother-in-law Ajay Devgan are superstars in their own right. Is she behind them? No, though she wouldn’t like to reveal her “secrets.”
Yes, we know she is doing ‘One Two Three’ being produced by Kumar Mangat. She says she is doing this movie as a family friend is producing it. The producer is none other than her sis Kajol’s manager before turning a producer. She adds when someone close to the family offers a role, one has to trust him blindly. Interestingly, Tanisha has shot a disco number on a set that has cost Rs 10 million and has 1,500 dancers. She has worn a yellow outfit in the number. Ganesh Acharya has beautifully choreographed it.
Apart from this, Tanisha will be seen in the much-awaited RGV film ‘Sarkar Raj’. She has reportedly replaced Aisahwarya Rai in it and that too opposite Abhishek Bachchan. This is to recall that in its predecessor movie, ‘Sarkar’ she had played the character of Avanti, the adopted child. She claims that her character in the sequel titled ‘Sarkar Raj’ is a continuation of her earlier role. When asked about her exact role, she quips, “I play Abhishek’s wife in the film.” Another reason for her excitement is that she speaks her mother tongue (Marathi), in the film. Isn’t it surprising that she isn’t part of her brother-in-law Ajay Devgan’s production ‘You, Me Aur Hum’. She explains it thus: My brother-in-law is always looking out for me and I go to the sets of the film whenever I can. But he feels that the film doesn’t have a role for me.
Tanisha is fiercer than her sister; she guards her personal life from the public view. That’s why she has been quiet about her reported engagement with Uday Chopra!.—Agencies
