PML-Q differences over tickets intensify

ISLAMABAD—Differences within PML-Q have been intensified as the members of the central parliamentary board failed to develop consensus over the allocation of party tickets for national and provincial assemblies.
According to learnt information, several party ticket holders have shown inclination to join PML-N. Additionally, Timmon family, after not getting party ticket, decided to contest election against Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. Further, PML-Q issued party ticket to Major Retd Tahir Sadiq from Attock instead of Malik Allah Yar.
Meanwhile PML-Q senior vice president Akram Zaki returned his wife party ticket for reserve seat to Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Sources revealed that Akram Zaki asked senate ticket during senate election, but party leadership refused him. Afterwards, Zaki did not attend party sessions. Former state minister Hina Rabbani, after leaving PML-Q, joined PPP. After such developments, political pundits are of the opinion that PML-Q, over the time, will considerably lose its popularity across the country.—Online
