Hilal-e-Pakistan
conferred on Chinese VP
ISLAMABAD—Ambassador Salman Bashir on behalf of President of Pakistan
presented the award of Hilal-e-Pakistan to former Chinese Vice Premier
and Foreign Minister Huang Hua at a special investiture ceremony here on
Tuesday.
Due to the poor health, the award was received on Huang Hua’s behalf by
his wife Madam He Liliang, said a press statement issued here on
Tuesday.
The award of Hilal-e-Pakistan has been conferred by the President
General Pervez Musharraf to Huang Hua in recognition of his outstanding
contribution to the enhancement of relations between China and Pakistan.
As Vice Premier and Foreign Minister Huang Hua served the Chinese Nation
with the great distinction. He has been an outstanding diplomat and
served at different Ambassadorial posts and in the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. He was China permanent representative to the United Nation in
1971.
H Huang Hua is a great friend of Pakistan. Throughout his long and very
distinguished career, he exhibited profound commitment to the
strengthening of Pakistan China friendship.
On this occasion the Ambassador paid warm tribute to Mr Huang Hua who
has been an architect of Pakistan- China friend ship.—Agencies |
