Kurd challenges Rashid

ISLAMABAD—Ali Ahmed Kurd, prominent lawyer has filed nomination papers to contest elections against former federal minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
Kurd, who has been detained since Nov. 3 declaration of emergency in the country, was brought to Rawalpindi from Jhelum Jail, where he filed nomination papers with the Returning Officer for NA-55 and NA-56 Rawalpindi,private TV channel reported.—Agencies
