39 Indian fishermen arrested

KARACHI—Maritime Security Agency (MSA) and Pakistan Marines in a joint action has arrested 39 fishermen and seized 7 Indian boats for alleged illegal entry and fishing in Pakistani waters.
The action has been taken in 25 nautical miles of Pakistan’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). According to MSA, the action has been taken after violation of EEZ by the Indian fishermen as warning issued several times to them. It is noted that the fishes are found abundantly in that area. The Indian fishermen after arriving in Karachi were handed over to Docks Police which will take further legal action against them.
