Drug regulatory system to be improved: Minister

ISLAMABAD—Minister for Health Ejaz Rahim has said drug regulatory system will be developed on modern lines in consultation with concerned stakeholders to give boost to the pharmaceutical industry.
Local as well as foreign investors can be attracted with some refinement in pharmaceutical sector while on other hand the people will get quality medicines, the minister said talking to newsmen. He said condition of health facilities providing medical care to the people throughout the country will be further improved so that people can get quality services.
The minister said all ongoing projects started in the health sector will be completed in time and priority will be given to projects which are more beneficial for the deprived segments of the society.
He said an integrated approach will be adopted to ensure provision of basic health facilities to the poor. He said the pace of programme running under PSDP allocation will be further expedited so that common man may get benefit from these programmes.
