Shells hit houses in Mir Ali

MIR ALI—Three civilian have been killed while 4 others sustained injuries when mortal shells fired by the security forces on militants mistakenly struck local houses and hotel situated in Mir Ali bazaar and its suburb areas, North Waziristan.
Some unidentified armed men fired several rockets and mortal shells at check post of FC in Mir Ali, causing injuries to a Personnel of Security forces, Private TV Channel reported on Sunday. The security forces retaliated with heavy automatic weapons. During the retaliatory action, some mortal shells hit local houses and hotel in areas of Mir Ali leaving three civilians dead while four others were injured.
On the other hand, the Political administration has directed people living in Baro Khail, Khushal and Qamar Khail, three most populated villages of North Waziristan, to shift to safer places due to proposed military operations there. The pamphlets in this regard have been displayed in villages warned local people to vacate their houses and shift to safer places.—Agencies
After warning, the people have started leaving the area, however, they are facing difficulties due to closure of several roads.
