Pipeline supplying gas to Punjab blown up

SUI—Some unidentified men blew up a gas pipelines in the vicinity of Sui, Dera Bugti which halted the gas supply to all power houses of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA).
The miscreants blew up the 30 or 24 diameter gas pipelines supplying gas to various areas of Punjab by planting explosive material near Dolly Check Post, Sui on Sunday. The explosion damaged significant portion of the pipelines. Following the incident, gas supply to various localities in Punjab stood suspended. The Gas compressor in Sui has also been shut down. Sources in Sui Northern Gas Company while quoting a private TV Channel said that the Gas supply to Pak Arab Fertilizer Factory and all Power plants of WAPDA including Nazar Kot Ado Power Station, Muzaffargarh thermal Power, Rosh thermal power, Kabir Wala thermal Power, Natural Gas power station Multan has been suspended.—Agencies
