Capital police plan action against habitual litigants

ISLAMABAD—Islamabad Police would penalize those persons involved in lodging the false cases with police stations and involve in wasting the time of investigation officers.
"A list of 52 habitual litigants involved in registering false cases have been sent to Deputy Commissioner for a prompt action against them," Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Kaleem Imam told APP. These persons waste the time of police officers and create problems for others so it is necessary to take action against them to stop this practice, he added. The SSP said the lists of gangsters and auto-vehicles thieves are also being prepared for an action in case of any criminal activity or auto theft from any area of the Capital. He said the routes from where they shift the stolen cars are being identified and the buyers list is also being maintained. Kaleem Imam said the Islamabad Police will also forward a summary to the government for approval of special allowances to the Investigation Officers.
"It will be a reward for the Investigation Offices so that they can probe the cases eagerly," he added. The SSP said the safe home scheme would be revived and the citizens would be appealed for deputing private guards in their respective vicinities and install safety alarms at their homes.—APP
