Commendation Certificates Class II awarded to 25 Officers

RAWALPINDI—Nisar Khan Durrani, DIG/PRO Rawalpindi has awarded Commendation Certificates Class II to 25 officers of different ranks serving in Rawalpindi Region for showing outstanding performance.
These officers included Inspector Safdar Hussain Shah, Inspector Chaudhry Zahoor Ahmed, Sub Inspector Raja Javed Anwar, Sub Inspector Sami Ullah, Head Constable Muhammad Amin, Head Constable Shahid Iqbal and Constable Gulfraz, Sattar, Mehboob, Sajid, Noor Khan, Fayyaz, Wajid, Nasir, Tassawar, Nasir, Sadaf, Zahid, Nasir, Irum Nawaz, Tariq, Riaz, Farrukh, Tahir and Bashir.
In Chakwal district on the visit of Chief Minister of Punjab an anonymous call was received by the District Administration of person threatening to cause a blast in public meeting and demanded an amount of Rs 1 million for avoidance
On this DPO Chakwal, Muhammad Maqsood Khan constituted a special team for the arrest of the person making the call. After hectic efforts the accused, Muhammad Haseeb s/o Rab Nawaz r/o Dhaab Chakwal was arrested along with amount paid to him. The DIG Nisar Khan Durrani rewarded the team for showing remarkable planning for the arrest of the accused. In another case, a gang of four persons committed robbery from the area of Police Station Pind Dadan Khan district Jhelum and fled away on the cards towards Lilla.—Agencies
