Nawaz allowed to hold public gatherings: Hamid

ISLAMABAD—Caretaker Interior Minister Hamid Nawaz Khan has said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is allowed to hold public gatherings but the decision regarding organising rallies would be taken by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Talking to media men here on Sunday on the inauguration of Challenge International Badminton Tournament in Sports Complex, the caretaker Interior Minister said that Nawaz Sharif is a wise person and he would not gather the huge gathering of masses.
The caretaker Interior Minister said that Nawaz Sharif is aware of the unfortunate incident happened on the arrival of Benazir Bhutto.
The caretaker Interior Minister when commenting on the Rawalpindi bomb blasts said that these blasts have links with the previous blasts but the investigation is underway and it is premature to say anything about it.
Responding to a question, the caretaker Interior Minister said that all the political leaders and lawyers have been released, adding that Aitzaz Ahsan would also be released soon.
Answering a question regarding the deposed judges, Hamid Nawaz Khan has said that they can use the official residences till November 30.
