EC to issue election symbols on Dec 3

ISLAMABAD—Election Commission of Pakistan would issue election symbols to political parties at its meeting on December 3, said Secretary Election Commission Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad on Thursday.
“Election Commission has sought applications from politicalparties till November 28 and decision to allotting symbols would be taken at the EC meeting on December 03,” Dilshad told.
The Election Commission is waiting applications from the political parties for allocation of symbols but political parties being busy in filing of nomination papers have not yet contacted the Commission. According to reports, the candidates have started obtaining nomination papers from the Returning Officers as the date for filing nomination papers ends on November 26, 2007.
