Sharifs, Qazi get nomination papers

LAHORE—Besides Pakistan Muslim League (N) leaderships Mian Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and Kalsoom Nawaz, Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Qazi Hussian Ahmed and his son Asif Luqman Qazi, received nomination papers on Thursday for the upcoming general elections.
A lawyer, representing Sharif family, received the nomination papers for the exiled leaders from Returning Officer. The former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif would contest elections from NA 120 and NA 119 respectively while Kalsoom Nawaz would be fielded from NA 123.
Nawaz Sharif also intends to contest election from PP 141 and PP 142 for Punjab provincial assembly. Qazi Hussian Ahmed and his son Asif Qazir would contest elections from NA 5 and 6 Noshehra respectively. Nomination papers for two National and five provincial assembly were obtained in Nowshehra. President of Muthidda Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and Central Amir of Jamat-e-Islami (JI), Qazi Hussain Ahmad Thursday obtained nomination papers from the office of Returning Officer for contesting elections from NA: 5 Nowshera.
