Better environment must to buff up impaired hearing abilities

RAWALINDI—Director Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEI) Cantt and Garrison Brigadier Muhammad Asif has underscored the need for provision of better environment to buff up competency of the students with impaired hearing and to make them active and useful citizens.
He was speaking at the annual sports Day ceremony held for the special children (children with hearing disability) at the Sir Syed Academy (Special Education) here Tuesday.
Appreciating the professional skills of the teachers engaged inimparting education to the special children having hearing disability have been doing real jihad for this sacred cause saying Federa Government Educational Institutions would ensure provision of every possible resources for the special children studying in these institutions, he added.
He hailed the efforts and facilities being provided to these special children by the government emphasizing that besides the provision of higher level education facilities, there must be equal employment opportunities for these students after they complete higher education in different fields, he added.
Besides the parents of the special students, officers of the FGEI including GSO-1 Lt. Col. Gull Hamid, Principal of the Institution Col. Hamid Hussain Naqvi, Vice Principal Mushtaq and Nighat Yasmin also attended the function.
On the occasion, special children having hearing disability demonstrated their skills in various sports including PT show, Gymnastic and other activities as the viewers became astonished and they appreciated their performance.
Principal of the Academy Col. Hamid Hussain Naqvi welcome the chief guest on the occasion and gave in detail a review of the institution and academic performance of the students viz a viz their results and other extra-curriculum activities.
Brigadier Asif urged and expressed the hope that the parents and the philanthropists would continue to extend support for the welfare of this institution and for this noble cause of humanity, he asserted.
