China, Jamaica celebrate 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties

BEIJING—A reception was held in Beijing on Wednesday to celebrate the 35th anniversary of establishment of the China-Jamaica diplomatic relations. Addressing the occasion, Li Xiaolin, vice-president of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said China and Jamaica have same or similar views on international affairs. “With traditional friendship and common goal, I’m confident that the friendly cooperation between China and Jamaica will bear more fruitful results in the future,” Li said. Jamaican ambassador to China Wayne McCook said both countries had frequent high-level visits in recent years and conducted exchanges in international affairs, economy and sports.—Xinhua
