Seminar on WTO, Pakistan’s economy on 26th
ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Manpower Institute (PMI) would organize a two-day
seminar on “World Trade Organization (WTO) and its implementation on
Pakistan’s Economy” here November 26. The main objective is to highlight
the importance of WTO and its effects on the country’s economy.
Around 23 participants from federal and provincial government
departments, academic institutions would attend the seminar, while, the
faculty members and eminent speakers from PMI and other academic
Institutions would deliver lectures to the participants. Director
General PMI Mazhar Hussain as a chief guest would brief the participants
about the achievements and plans of PMI. PMI was established in 1975 as
an attached department of the Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas
Pakistanis.
As per its charter of function, the institute undertakes research and
training in the area of human resource development and management with
focus on labour related issues for the officers and executives from
public and private sector organizations.—APP |
