JUI-F divided over protest drive

ISLAMABAD—Differences have emerged in JUI-F over launching joint protest movement with other opposition parties amid the reports that some key leaders of the party including former chief minister NWFP Akram Khan Durrani have refused to attend central executive council meeting of JUI on this issue.
JUI-F central executive council meeting was held here Sunday under Maulana Fazlur Rehman.. The meeting was attended by Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, Maulana Muhammad Khan Sheerani, Maulana Yusuf, Maulana Muhammad Amjid khan, senator Talha Mehmood , senator Liaqat Ali and others.
Sources told Online it was agreed upon during the meeting that it should be considered to forge electoral alliance with PML-Q during the upcoming general elections and avoid joining protest movement with other political parties.
