Investor-friendly policies attract new canadian oil company

ISLAMABAD—The Government investor-friendly policies and package of
incentives envisaged in the new petroleum policy has attracted the
Canadian Heritage Company to invest in oil & gas exploration activities
in Pakistan.
This was revealed by the Chief Executive of Canadian Heritage oil & gas
company Mr. Smith Brian who paid a courtesy call on the caretaker
Federal Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources, Mr. Ahsan Ullah Khan
here. Secretary Petroleum Mr. Farrukh Qayyum, Chief Executives of Sprint
and Trekker oil & gas exploration program to be undertaken by the
Heritage joint venture in Sanjawi block falling in the Loralai and Kohlu
districts of Balochistan with the initial investment of over US$ 10
million. The Minister welcomed the Canadian, Heritage joint venture
investment in the oil & gas exploration activities in the country and
assured full cooperation in this regard. He said that the Government has
provided a level playing field to the investors in the oil & gas sector
and lucrative incentives were yielding dividends to attract investments
in the country. |
