Manager NBP Kallar Kahar arrested for security negligence

RAWALPINDI—On the direction of Nasir Khan Durrani, Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi (DIG), Manager National Bank of Pakistan Kallar Kahar Branch District Chakwal was arrested and send to jail for negligence shown in a security arrangements for the bank, says a press release issued here on Friday.
The manager was categorically informed in writing that the security arrangements were not foolproof and the bank is vulnerable to robbery. The case of the negligence under Shop and Establishment Ordinance was send to the court, which is pending trial.
On 7 November, 2007, a incident of robbery took place in which the criminal managed to loot around one million rupees and fled away without any resistance
The SHO PS Kallar Kahar has already been placed under suspicion. Nasir Khan Durrani has warned other bank officials to take proper security and preventive measures for the safety of their staff and public deposits.
Nasir Khan Durrani, DIG Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi has placed under suspicion Sub-Inspector Shaukat Hyatt of Attock district for providing protection to people involve in gambling.
