Operation to remove huge billboards on VIP Route

RAWALPINDI—The 27 heavy bill boards erected in the area from Flying Club to Koral Chowk on VIP Route have been declared dangerous and an operation to remove these bill boards would be started in the next few days.
According to the reliable sources, a team has been constituted under the supervision of District Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas, which after conducting a survey declared 27 signboards installed against the rules and regulations and recommended their immediate removal. The committee, which headed by Revenue Inspector City District Government, Sajid Naseer included Inspector Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Tariq Mehmood, Inspector Civil Aviation Authority Islamabad Khalid Aslam. The committee in its report has declared 27 heavy signboards danger in case of movement of aeroplanes and occurrence of storm.—Online
