Soomro orders release of political activists

ISLAMABAD—Caretaker Prime Minister Muhammadmian Soomro on Friday announced for early release of arrested activists of various political parties.
While talking to host of Journalists at Aiwan-e-Saddar on Friday, Caretaker Prime Minister Muhammadmian Soomro urged the Opposition to play fair politics rather than politics of Streets adding that all-out efforts will be made to release all political workers who have been arrested in recent demonstrations.
Replying to a question, Soomro said that it is its top priority to continue the past policies of the Government in the same manner. He said that free, fair, transparent elections is the benchmark of the Government adding that all-out efforts shall be made to make sure people-friendly policies are maintained in the country. Responding to another question, Soomro said that Print Media is totally independent and there is no restriction whatsoever on it. He said that Observers of various countries would come to Pakistan to monitor the elections in the country.—Online
