Promotion of NA employees approved

ISLAMABAD—National Assembly Finance Committee which met here on Thursday under the chairman of the Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain has approved promotion of the low grade employees whose promotion was long due.
According to a press release issued by NA Secretariat, the Committee approved the minutes of the previous meeting and considered the cases of promotion and up-gradation of the National Assembly Secretariat Employees in various cadres.
The committee also approved promotion of PS to chairmen of the National Assembly Standing Committee from BPS-17 to BPS-18 subject to the possession of the required skills and qualifications.
The Committee decided that those PS who lacked the required skills would be provided opportunities to acquire the required skills.
The Committee approved the expenditures incurred on the foreign visits of the Parliamentary delegations including visits by the members of Kashmir Committee.
The Committee also approved the expenditures incurred on the treatment of the Parliamentarians. It also approved the expenditure incurred on the purchase of three Hino busses for transportation of the staff of the National Secretariat. Earlier, members of the Committee paid rich tributes and appreciated performance of Speaker during the past five years as Speaker National Assembly and as Chairman of NA Finance Committee.
