Completion of NA tenure a landmark:
Speaker

ISLAMABAD—Speaker National Assembly Chaudhary Amir Hussain has termed
the completion of five years of tenure of National Assembly as historic
and said that it would prove a milestone in further strengthening the
democratic Institutions.
He expressed these views during a lunch party hosted by Officers of
National Assembly Secretariat in honor of him here on Thursday.
Earlier, Ch. Amir Hussain expressed satisfaction over the performance of
all the officers of National Assembly Secretariat, its staffers and
other employees for their cooperation in legislation, holding successful
NA proceedings, budget debate and assisting in other important matters.
“They have performed their duties sincerely, honestly and utilized all
their energies and potentialities to run the NA proceedings in pleasant
atmosphere,” Ch, Amir Hussain added.
He further said that present assembly which has completed its time
period of five-year is a good omen and prove a milestone in the future
of Pakistan. He hoped that in future assemblies will also complete their
tenure.
Secretary National Assembly Karamat Hussain Niazi in his address said
that it is for the first time in the history of Pakistan that National
Assembly is going to complete its tenure. The role of Speaker might not
be ignored in this connection, he added.
“ He was very friendly with all the staffers and he also took some
historic decision for the progress and development of Secretariat,”
Karamat Hussain Niazi added. Large numbers of MNAs including Sardar
Nasrullah Dareshak also attended the lunch. |
