7 UCs to have new water pipeline,
tubewell
RAWALPINDI—City District Nazim and Chairman Rawalpindi Development
Authority (RDA) Raja Javed Ikhlas has said that the new water pipelines
will be laid in Potohar Town with total cost of Rs. 72 million.
The work in this respect will be started soon and will be completed
within nine months, he said this during visit to different union
councils of Town.
Project Director Brig. (Retd) Shah Rukh Lodhi, Deputy Director Water
Supply Akram Hashmi, Project Consultant Deputy Director Water and
Sanitation Agency Chaudhry Muhammad Safdar were present on the occasion.
The scheme in accordance with Rawalpindi environmental Project, he said,
will be completed with collaboration of Punjab Government and Asian
Development Bank. The water pipelines in Union Council Gangal,
Rehmatabad, Chaklala, Dhok Manshi Khan, Kahota Kala, Shakrial North and
South will be laid, besides installation of new tubewell there. The
Project will end water shortage in aforementioned areas, the nazim
